We went to the Google Cloud Summit on 2nd October 2018 at One World Hotel Petaling Jaya, with an aim to provide better add-on services to our clients and customers.

 

Our world, especially in the digital world, it is continuously growing towards more data driven. Data has became the key success for the growth of a company. With the exponentially growth in data, there is a huge slope increases of data breaches.

 

JAPAC Cloud Security Specialist at Google, Mark Johnston, says that – “There are 45% increases in data breaches in 2017 and 30% of those breaches are due to lack of internal controls and awareness”.

 

Numbers that you need to be aware of:

– 91% increases in phishing attacks in 2017.

– 90% reported breaches is caused by lack of awareness.

– 84% of organisations hit by a DDoS attacks in 2016 alone. 86% of those occurs more than once.

– 60% malware receive from email links or embedded into the email’s attachment.

– 15% increases in ransomware loses in 2017.

 

Google emphasizes that their Cloud Armor be able to absorb the largest attacks, which require the bandwidth needed to simultaneously watch 500,000 YouTube videos in HD and able to defend against app level attacks.

 

Speaking of awareness, we would like to put a stress on SECURITY KEY by Google. So, what does it do?
